10 Arguments Thoughtful Atheists Won't Use

If we need god for morals were in big trouble. If we use the bible as a moral compass we would be killing homosexuals just for being gay, we would be killing our children for being disobidiant. God has a plan to leave two people in a garden that do not know good and evil and place a talking snake to tempt them? Good plan? He said they would die if they eat the fruit,satan said no he's lying and what happens? They don't die. God said he's going to flood the earth because man is evil he does it then he says he wont do it again because man is evil? there needs to be a god for morals?

Information, over against chance points to personality. Ethics is the universal and morality the particulars. Historically and inductively all men are non-holy. Either the holiness of G-d is the ground of "good" or man is reduced to bits and pieces thinking (Hitler [statistical mores/might makes right]or Hefner [personal preference]).

There is a big difference between might making right and the standard of right being mighty. The difference is this; the atheistic worldview has no ground to claim that the mighty are right or wrong other than a subjective opinion, and the fact that the Christian worldview’s standard for ethics is mighty in no way disqualifies it from being a standard for ethics. In other words, anytime an atheist argues that something is not the way it “ought” to be, they contradict their worldview, because it cannot provide a solid base for what ought to be, whereas the Christian, no matter how mighty their standard is, is not contradicting their worldview. This type of question tends to be a red herring since it neither alleviates the atheist from their conundrum, nor does it prove that God is not the standard for ethics.
