3 Effective Apologetics Models for your Motivation ()

Jeremy Livermore, September 27, 2014
Part of the Apologetics.com Radio Show series, preached at a Saturdays service

In this show, host Jeremy Livermore interviews the heads of 3 different apologetics organizations:

· Rodney Lake from Thinking Matters in New Zealand (0:00 to 0:45)
· Rick Schenker from Ratio Christi in the USA (0:45 to 1:30)
· David Illman from Christian Heritage at Cambridge University in the UK (1:30 to 2:00)

They discuss their philosophy of ministry, ministry objectives, and reaching the target audience. Each organization has a different style and approach.

These special guests express the need for a distinct type of apologetics given their context. They elaborate on how they are meeting the specific local needs with their ministry offerings. For instance, for their post-Christian campus environment, Christian Heritage employs a Francis Schaeffer L’Abri model on the college campus. Also, Thinking Matters brings skilled apologists into an anti-intellectual church environment.

Given these examples, the listener may identify the apologetics model that would work best for their local audience. We hope this show will inspire our listeners to generate movements or join with these movements to reach people locally.
